Founded in February 2023, we have evolved from an independent applied theatre collective (formerly “Artivism”) into Arts for Action Cares Limited (UEN 202546785R), a registered non-profit community arts organisation based in Singapore. Publicly, we operate as “Arts for Action (AFA)”, signalling that our work transforms artistic practice into tangible action that benefits people and place. Online, we are @AFACares. “Cares” reflects our belief that the arts are not only creative outputs but also instruments for connection, inclusion, and community well-being.

We advocate for the arts as a vital force in community care, education, and leadership development, working across sectors to create spaces for reflection, connection, and social change.

Our Logo
AFA logo entwines two circles — the arts (smaller yet radiant), and the community (vast and embracing). Where they meet, a shared space blooms: the fertile ground of possibility, where creativity and care converge, and where cross-sector collaborations can take root and flourish. Bathed in a palette of warmth, imagination, and playful vibrancy, the logo positions AFA as bold and inclusive, deeply rooted in community, and ever-reaching toward new horizons. These hues weave a palette that feels contemporary and human-centred, bold yet gentle. A harmony of colours that carries both the clarity of purpose and the warmth of connection:
